Tindeco Wharf was an early success in the transformation of Canton from a blighted industrial area into the Gold Coast of Baltimore. The Belvedere was once a hotel.  It is now a mixed use property with Condos, restaurants, clubs, and other businesses. The carved columns of the Belvedere are some of the most ornate in Baltimore. Its name derives from the factory that was there, the TIN DEcorating COmpany.
